In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Mafalda Cento replied:

Thank you for the honor!

My paintings have been admired for their loose and fluid strokes, thus creating works that are organic and expressive. I describe myself as an emotional painter. Painting fuels my soul. I love to experiment with different mediums and I welcome new challenges. I have exhibited in numerous art shows in Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn, upstate New York and New Jersey. Many of my works are in private collections in the US, Italy, England, France and the Bahamas. "Painting for me means total expression…….it’s instinctive and emotional. But in essence, it’s life’s force that...
