About the South Shore Artists Group/ Foundation, Inc.
The South Shore Artists Group is celebrating 76 years. The Group had its first art show at Conference House Park to raise funds for Richmond Memorial Hospital. The bucolic setting was much as we see it today, and the artists were also as excited and pleased to come together and bring their most recent work. The exhibitors, who were all women at the time, hung their work on wooden snow fencing, which was provided by the Parks Department.
The South Shore Artists Foundation is an incorporated 501 (c) (3) association established by the South Shore Artists Group. The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, preservation, educational and scientific purposes, for such purposes, allocating educational resources and tools to young adults and youth as a non profit organization.
Our mission is to reach out and educate our community through art experiences and exhibits and to encourage artistic talents of community youth....
